Sims2 is a game that you inter act with..

The long awaited Sims2 hit the market earlier this year. I myself have played the original Sims and now the new Sims2 both which are incredible. The Sims2, this addition goes beyond the original Sims. Better graphics, bigger images- almost a virtual feel, like your right there with them. So good that you may have to take a day or two off from work to play. Is lots of fun for the whole family. It is rated for teens and has "NO" nudity, swearing, gun shooting, gore, or the likes of some other games.
But with the teen rating there is some crude humor, sexual theme and some common violence

Who Am I

I liked the detail in this new version. Bigger characters - sometime you think your playing inside the game a long side. Has lots of intense images. Your computer will adjust automatically for best game performance but you can still over ride these functions. It comes complete with many extra special effect like, shadows from a light sources, watching real content on TV, food in the refrigerator. More back ground scenery and much more. From virtual living the game runs side by side to every day real life and does a good job doing so.The kitchen show similar detail of an actual

Bath Room

I liked the detail in Sims2 new version. Has a lots of intense images. From virtual living - the game runs side by side with the real world. Save a game and come back a week or two later to find that things do change. Visit the kitchen see similar detail of an actual real one.

A Place To Stay

What I Like and What I Did Not Like

I like this game for the realistic graphics. In this game, there is much more detail that you can see especially when used with the zoom in control. The zoom lets you see what a Sim character is doing. You can see what the Sims see too. Roam in side of the wall of their home. Options allow for walls to become invisible to the game player but not the Sim.. This version has plenty to do, see, and hear. Everything is more realistic like appliances, and furniture all look great.

I liked the community Pleasantview, the best place to start learning. A help guide will walk you through the game as many times as you need. At the start of each new game a pop up sign will ask if you want to play along with the help guide..

Playing the Game

Pick out or create a new family. About 20,000 is issued free to small families the first time there in play. Buy an empty lot and build your own home or a home built already. Move in and if you have any money left buy furniture for the house. Food for you and keep just enough for bills that are delivered to a mail box out side your front door. A daily news paper is automatically delivered so that you can find your Sim a job. Money will soon run out and if you can not pay the bills or feed the kids. Social services will take your kids away for abuse and you will live on the side walk after your evicted.

It can be a hard lesson if your not on the ball as to what each Sim in the house hold is doing. Constantly you will be monitoring each Sims monitors for needs, wants and much more. If your thinking about a family some day you may think twice after playing The Sims2.

Lots of fun, makes the time fly right by you.

Supported video cards (and the more
    video memory the better):

No doubt this game takes advantage of todays computer power house. Will run on most of the newer computers today. Needs a video card with a lot of memory.

I used a G4 running OS !0.3.9, a CPU of 1.5 GHz with 512k level 2 cache, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 64MB of DDR SDRAM and 1.5 GHz system RAM. This game is graphic intense.

Pro favor

  • Game determines where computer setting should be
  • Large sims more detail
  • You can see what Sims see
  • More interaction with sim
  • You could lose weight with excessive playing.
  • Did I mention it is a lot of Fun.

  • I would strongly suggest using a video card with 128 or higher
  • The fastest computer you can afford.
  • Occasionally locked up on slower computers
  • Time consuming - game never ends
  • You could lose your social life
  • due to excessive playing.
  • Only needs one player
